Cyclocross is one of the most fun and exciting types of bike racing ever created.

Participants race their bikes on a closed course over grassy fields navigating tight twisty turns, steep punchy hills, and up and over barriers. Sometimes there is mud, there are always a lot of smiles and racing is good, hard fun work.

Races typically last anywhere from 30min to 60min depending on the level of rider. Racers newer to the sport will enter races that are a little shorter, and veterans of the sport will race for an hour. We have two series in MN. The first is WNCX (Wednesday Nigh Cyclocross), this is a practice series and is not sanctioned by USA Cycling. These races are a great way to try the sport out and the series starts in late August. We also have a USA Cycling sanctioned series that is run by the Minnesota Cycling Federation. These races take place on weekends and racers will need to have an annual USA Cycling license or purchase a day license to join the races.

The races are hosted at local bike shops and teams and all races are designed to be inclusive and fun for everyone.
